Flexlink’s line of durable Tag and Label base stocks offers a host of papers, films, and synthetics to be printed with flexographic, offset, gravure or digital formats. Our substrates get turned into tags and labels in the most demanding applications.
Like traditional kraft paper, Permafiber™ is made from cellulose pulp. Unlike traditional paper, it will hold up to water, humidity and moisture for extended time periods and is very tear-resistant. Unlike films and synthetic papers, it will eventually break down and remains an environmentally friendly durable tag or label option. As a result, Permafiber™ is perfect for:

Flexlink offers a range of Tag and Label products with other capabilities as well. Latex saturated papers are water-resistant, lint free and work well in clean-room and water repellant applications while leather replacement papers give the look, feel and durability of leather. And keep in mind; we are one of the few companies that offer both un-gummed patching paper and gummed patching paper. This paper is stocked in 7/8" wide rolls and ready to ship when you need it.
In some cases, form is more important than function. Therefore, Flexlink offers an unlimited array of decorative papers and boards that are well suited for hang tags, announcements and flyers. Most of these papers have aqueous coatings and varnishes that offer color, fluorescence and texture. Although the combinations are infinite, examples include papers and boards with the look and feel of a basketball, football, alligator or snake. Order minimums apply. Permafiber™ – Further Details
Permafiber™ truly is the most water resistant paper available anywhere. Why use synthetic papers, polyethylene coated paper (poly coated paper), silicone coated paper or high strength film for your tags when there is a water resistant paper which is available in multiple colors and small minimum order quantities? This paper has wet strength which is superior to any other repulpable material. And while film, synthetic paper, and polymer coated paper are not biodegradable, this is a biodegradable paper. How long will it last as an outdoor paper before breaking down? Well, that depends on the environmental conditions. However, many months to two years are not uncommon.
And Permafiber™ is not just a one trick pony as it has several other benefits as well? The formulation that makes it a water resistant paper also gives makes it a high tear paper.
Why is having a hi-tear paper important? Well the obvious application is for paper banners that will not tear but are still biodegradable and recyclable. However, we continue to have customers use Permafiber™ in applications such as a breathable, high strength paper conveyor that will not tear as well as for colored paper wrist bands.
We know what Permafiber™ is currently used for. And while dry cleaning tags, lock-out tag-out tags, nursery tags, Christmas tree tags, lumber tags, log tags and racing tags are all used on a daily basis, we know that our customers will come up with unlimited other possibilities. Would you like to use your tag, tablet or sheet to in the rain? Use Permafiber™ as it stays strong when wet. Would you like to write in water with a #2 pencil? Use Permafiber™ as it is moisture resistant and water resistant. Are the salts of the ocean air destroying the outdoor tags that you normally use? Use Permafiber™ as it also chemical resistant. Do you need a paper banner that won’t tear or paper that you can use as a conveyor or for some other high strength application? Use Permafiber™ because it has superior strength in terms of tear, tensile and Mullen. Patching Paper – Further Details
Flexlink’s line of patching papers is available in red and manila colors. Rolls are stocked in 7/8"” wide rolls with 5,000 lineal feet per roll and 250,000 lineal feet per skid. Gummed patching paper is also available.
Lint Free/Latex Saturated Papers – Further Details
Flexlink can custom design a latex saturated paper to meet your unique requirements. By saturating paper with latex we provide waterproof paper that is also abrasion resistant and lint-free.
Custom designed lint free paper is the ideal product to as a clean room paper. The latex will bid the fibers together and provide a paper which is lint free and perfect for your laboratory applications.
Our latex saturated papers have minimum order quantities of 1000 lbs. or more, depending on the grade, color etc. Call us to discuss your specific need.
